(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): According to the latest figures of the Ministry of Labor, 1.03 crore people are looking for jobs in the country, but at present only two lakh jobs are available in different states. Most of the people of West Bengal have registered for jobs. People have sought jobs through the government’s National Career Service Portal. According to official figures, 23.61 lakh people from West Bengal have registered on this portal. UP is second in terms of job requirements. Here 14.62 lakh people are looking for jobs. 13.32 lakhs in Maharashtra at number three, 12.32 lakhs in Bihar at number four and 6.17 lakhs in Rajasthan at number five are currently looking for jobs.
90000 people in Delhi, 71000 in Haryana, 93000 in Jharkhand, and 49000 people in Uttarakhand have registered for jobs on National Career Service Portal. These figures given by the government are from the beginning of the portal until 31 August 2020. More jobs in Gujarat The availability of jobs in the country is much lower than the unemployment figures. Only 1.77 lakh jobs are available for all these people in different states across the country. Of these, 6,642 jobs are available in Gujarat. After this, West Bengal is at number two. There are 4,031 jobs here. There are 3,776 in Bihar, 897 in Haryana, 1,804 in Delhi, 1,188 in UP, while in Jharkhand there are 216 job options.
