Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ) The death toll from Covid-19 across the whole world have reached to 700,000 mark , the United Nations informed that about 1 billion students around the world have been got affected by the shut down of schools forced by Covid-19.

The coronavirus pandemic has led to the largest disruption of education in history, with schools closed in more than 160 counties in mid-july. In addition, he said at least 40, million children worldwide have missed out an education “in their critical pre school year”, said UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres on Tuesday.

Guterres warned the world faces “a generational catastrophe that could waste untold human potential, undermine decades of progress, and exacerbate entrenched inequalities”. According to a projection covering 180 countries by UNESCO some 2.38 million additional children and youths from primary school to university level are at risk of dropping out.
