(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); The Khutar police of Shahjahanpur district got a big success. Police arrested Riteish Jaiswal, a gangster resident of Barabanki, on Monday night, near Golden Flower School, Gola Road. One quintal hemp and cash worth Rs 50,000 was recovered from his car. Police then apprehended the gangster’s other 11 associates of his gang from under the bridge of the river Kathana. Thirty kilos of cannabis, torches, searchlights, 15 quintals, 10 mobile phones recovered. SP S Anand and SP Rural Aparna Gautam congratulated the team. Claimed that the value of the recovered hemp in the international market is around Rs 50 lakh.
SP S Anand said that the drug narcotics department has been informed about necessary action in connection with the recovered cannabis. Gang leader Ritesh is also a student of LLB’s fifth semester from TRC Law College Barabanki. The SP said that legal action will be taken by making information about the property acquired by the accused from an illegal cannabis business.
