14 new medical colleges to be opened in Uttar Pradesh

Bahraich: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the government is taking concrete steps to improve the medical system of the state. MBBS studies have started in seven new medical colleges.

The Chief Minister was addressing the guidance program of MBBS first batch students and faculty members of the newly constructed seven medical colleges on Wednesday.

He said that from the year 1947 to 2016 only 12 medical colleges were being operated in the state. Only 1790 NEET passed students were able to take admission in these. During his two-year tenure, 15 new medical colleges have been created. Now 2578 MBBS has been seat.

With the opening of Atal Medical University in Lucknow, the proposal to open 14 new medical colleges in the state has been sent to the Central Government. The government intends that there will be a medical college between every two districts. He said that Balrampur has been Atal Ji’s workplace.

KGMC satellite will be opened here. After this, a draft to operate a medical college has been prepared.

The objective of opening a government medical college is not only to prepare doctors but also to provide high level and affordable medical services to the people of the state.

Finance Parliamentary Affairs and Medical Education Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that it is a golden day when 700 students are taking admission in seven new medical colleges for the first time. Principal Secretary Medical Education Rajneesh Dubey said that the state government is moving towards realizing the dreams of Sushruta and Maharishi Patanjali.

The Chief Minister’s program was attended by MBBS students and faculty from Basti, Ayodhya, and Bahraich, while live broadcasting was done at Badaun, Firozabad, Shahjahanpur, and Greater Noida colleges. Cabinet Minister Swami Prasad Maurya, Cooperation Minister Mukut Bihari Verma were present.

The program was conducted by Dr. Vasundhara. After this, Chief Minister Mihipurava left by helicopter to address the public meeting.

The medical college will be named after Maharaja Suheldev
The Chief Minister said that Maharishi Balark Rishi and Maharaja Suheldev struggled to save them from foreign invaders.

The campaign made people aware. These great men can not be forgotten. The name of the district hospital will be named after Maharishi Balark Rishi and Medical College after Maharaja Suheldev.
