(Dharshini.G, Intern journalist) Betul : 14-year-old young lady who had disappeared in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, on August 3 was gang raped by five men at two distinct areas close to the city’s railroad station.

The girl, a student of class 9, returned home on the morning of August 5 and disclosed to her folks about the episode. Police have confined five suspects in the issue and captures are probably going to be made soon.

“We have kept five suspects and the ID procedure is on. When the recognizable proof is done arrests would be made,” Betul Kotwali police headquarters house official Anil Purohit said.

As indicated by the police, the victim had gone out on the night of August 3 after a conflict with her family. On August 3 the casualty stayed with a relative who lives in the police lines zone and on August 4 roamed around in the city with a companion for the whole day.

“On August 4 night after her companion left, she went towards the railway station and was sitting on the overbridge when five unidentified men moved toward her. She looked for food from them and in the affection of giving food and safe house to her, they took her to a shady place and assaulted her. She was later taken to another shanty where she was assaulted once more,” police said.

The casualty was permitted to leave on August 5 morning after she gave an affirmation to the blamed that she won’t gripe against them. The police have recorded a kidnapping case against unidentified people. A gangrape case and a case under relevant segments of the POCSO Act have been enrolled against the blamed.
