Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ) Two people were shot dead and three were critically injured during a clash between two groups over a government contract in Ganghara diara under the jurisdiction of shahpur police station area of rural Patna on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Jitendra Singh,40 (son of a ward member Guriya Devi) and Jitendra Sharma, 47, ( younger brother of Shivaji Sharma, former mukhia of Ganghara Panchayat ). The treatment of injured persons are undergoing.
As per the information given by the police, the incident occurred around 11:30 am when one group of people led by Shivaji Sharma forcibly tried to construct a road by claiming it’s ownership. when supporters of Guriya Devi opposed his act, Shivji slapped one of them.
“Several rounds of bullets were fired. We recovered empty cartridges. We have identified two gangs and efforts are on to nab them”, informed the SHO of shahpur police station. J
