(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): In Sitapur, two policemen were suspended after the video of them taking bribe went viral on social media. On Friday, a video of a head constable and constable taking bribe at Thana Machreta went viral on social media.
Taking cognizance of the incident, Superintendent of Police Sitapur RP Singh suspended head constable Jagesh Kumar and constable Shiv Kumar of Machreta police station.
The two policemen were taking a bribe from an old man in the police station premises on Friday, someone made a video of the incident. In this regard, the Superintendent of Police has handed over the inquiry to Additional Superintendent of Police, South Nagendra Singh.
