24 prisoners of Jammu and Kashmir shift to Lucknow jail

Lucknow: Prisoners in jails of Jammu and Kashmir have been brought to Lucknow district prison after Agra. Before shifting the terrorists, District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma and SSP Kalanithi Naithani inspected the jail and took stock of the security arrangements.

In view of security in the barracks and jail premises, the duty points have also been marked and deployment of personnel. The High-Security Barrack is being monitored by CC cameras.

District Prison Lucknow already has 47 prisoners including terrorists and dreaded criminals. Due to this, the prison was kept in a sensitive category. Now after the arrival of these 24 prisoners, the sensitivity here has increased. A security official said that the terrorists brought from Jammu have also been kept according to the jail manual.

Prisoners brought from Jammu and Kashmir were brought from the plane to the Air Force Station at BKT. On Saturday afternoon, security arrangements were tightened on the arrival of Kashmiri prisoners at the Airforce station. From here, the prisoners were taken to the jail located in Gosainganj area with three vehicles.
