New Delhi: (Geetesh Ujjainwal, Intern Journalist) 42-year-old general manager of the lounge and his 37-year-old colleague were arrested at Delhi airport on Thursday after a woman employee accused them of sexual harassment at the workplace.
Police said The lounge is operated by a tenanted privately-run third party operator. The 26-year-old woman worked as a food and beverage assistant in the lounge at terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi international airport. The complaint was filed on Tuesday by the women.
According to the complaint, “the two allegedly used to harass and threaten her that if she will raise her voice Against it then she will be fired. After reporting the complaint she was fired. The woman also alleged that she was sexually harassed by her duty manager”.
She was also forced to do her certain shifts during the ongoing pandemic and she was threatened she will be fired if she didn’t obey the order, the complaint stated.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI Airport) Rajeev Rajan said that based on her complaint, an FIR was registered and the General Manager and the Duty Manager of the lounge have been arrested.
