Raaisha Upadhyay (intern journalist) A four-year-old girl was discharged from hospital at Udaipur today after she was tested negative for the dreaded novel Coronavirus.
She becomes the youngest patient to have been infected with COVID19 disease and now cured. The four-year-old (name withheld on request) was admitted to one of the COVID19 care institutions in Udaipur on 29 July along with her mother, who was also tested positive.
The girl and her mother have been under treatment at the COVID care centre and today, on 8 August, the girl was released from the centre after her reports confirmed that she was no longer infected with the novel coronavirus. 32 additional patients were discharged from the same centre today. As per the nodal officer at the hospital, Dr Anshul Mattha, the doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff bid a warm farewell to the little girl and were overwhelmed with her appreciation on looking after her.
Dr. Dinesh Kharade, Chief Medical and Health Officer, Udaipur informed that apart from the ESIC Hospital at Chitrakoot Nagar, the other three hospitals that have been taken up by the administration for COVID care at GBH American Hospital and Pacific Medical College and Hospital, both at Bedwas and Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital at Eklingura.
