(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Noida: Noida police arrested five miscreants allegedly involved in the murder of Akshay Kalra, a 24-year-old student, after the encounter on Tuesday morning. Four crooks have been injured in this encounter, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Luv Kumar said that Akshay Kalra, a student of B-Tech, living in Sector-62 on the night of September 2, was going from his car when unknown miscreants beat him and snatched his car.

He said that four teams were formed to investigate the incident. Anil Kumar Singh, in-charge of Sector-58 police station investigating the incident, surrounded some miscreants near Sector-62 based on information in the early hours of Tuesday, after which the miscreants started firing on the police.
Love Kumar said that the police also retaliated and opened fire on the miscreants. Four miscreants Kuldeep alias Happy, Vikas alias Vicky, Sonu Singh, and Shamim Sheikh were injured in this firing. He said that Ajay Kumar Rathore, a partner of the miscreants, had escaped from the spot, which the police later arrested. The four injured miscreants have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Additional Commissioner said that the police have recovered a pistol, three-country guns, cartridges, and Akshay Kalra’s car from these miscreants.
Love Kumar said that these miscreants have admitted to committing several robbery cases in Noida, Ghaziabad, and Delhi. Additional Commissioner said that Police Commissioner Alok Singh has announced a reward of one lakh rupees to the police team who arrested the miscreants.
