5 policemen sacked for driving away the notorious

(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Fatehgarh: Five policemen from Fatehgarh were dismissed in connection with the absconding case of the notorious criminal of Meerut. Earlier, one inspector has also been dismissed. The infamous Badan Singh alias Baddo of Meerut, who was detained in Fatehgarh Central Jail, was taken to Ghajiyabad on March 29, 2019, by the Farrukhabad police team.

After production, Baddo colluded with the police team and the next day in police custody, he reached a hotel in Meerut. From where he escaped by dodging policemen. After his escape from the hotel, the police searched him, but he was not found. A case was registered in Meerut against Inspector Deshraj Tyagi, Head Constable Santosh Kumar, Constables Sunil Singh, Raj Kumar, Omveer Singh, and Driver Bhupendra, who took the case on this. All were on bail since then. Also, departmental proceedings and investigations were started against them.
