(Juhi Aishwary, Intern Journalist): There is tension on the border between India and China. After the Chinese army deployed 5,000 soldiers on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, the Indian Army also increased its presence there. The army is also increasing its presence in other areas so that the People’s Liberation Party does not try to encroach in other areas.
The Chinese military movement and numbers near LAC are steadily increasing. The army has been stopped for large-scale exercises. In such a situation, the Indian Army has also deployed troops on short notice near the Line of Actual Control in the areas under the 81 and 114 brigades to counter the Chinese claim in Daulat Beg Oldi and surrounding areas.
Chinese army set up tent in Galwan area
Indian Army sources said that Chinese troops and heavy vehicles have been brought towards the Line of Actual Control near Pangong Sau Lake and Finger Area. They have penetrated within the Indian Territory. The Chinese Army has put up a tent in the Galvan Nala area. Sources said that China is constructing roads in the area opposite to the Indian posts, which was objected by the Indian side, but they did not agree. In the Galvan region, the Indian Army is constructing a bridge near Indian Patrolling Point 14 near Galvan Nala, to which the Chinese objected and increased their presence there.
The number of soldiers increased on the Indian Post KM120
At any given time, the Indian Post KM120 has 250 soldiers from both the Army and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, as the convoys pass through there. Now the number of jawans at the post has been increased to counter Chinese aggression. The ground commander and senior leadership are calling on China to resolve the deadlock as soon as possible, but not much progress has been made due to the harsh stance taken by China.
