(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Washington: Voters are actively participating in the US presidential election this time. So far, nearly 5.87 crore people have voted by early ballot, according to statistics. This is much higher compared to the 2016 election. If the early ballots are high, the counting will be delayed and the result will be delayed. Early ballots also increased as the election date approached.

With the Corona crisis, more and more people are opting not to go to the polls. About 24 million voters in the United States will exercise their voting right this time around, according to USA Today. Democrat supporters (70 percent) are among those who have used the early vote so far, the report said.

 Results delayed

A report said that it would take time to calculate the early ballot, so there was no chance of immediate results after the 3rd of the election. He said the delay was also in 2016 and the delay was even greater this time. The work of counting the early ballots will begin only after the completion of the main election.

Another could take another two days to complete, the report said. Of the 5.87 crore votes currently cast, 54 percent came from the key 16 states. Of these, Early Votes were the highest in Minnesota. It also noted that the number of young voters who used to vote early in the election had risen sharply.

Idea predicts change in key states that backed Trump in the last election. In Texas, Eidafa was heavily polled with early votes. More than 70 million Americans have already exercised their right to vote than in a century.
