At the same time, the number of infected patients has reached 27 lakh 67 thousand. But the good thing is that the number of people recovering from the infection has exceeded two and a half million and the investigation has increased.
On Wednesday morning, the death toll has risen to 52,889 with a record of 1,092 deaths in the last 24 hours. Cases of infection have increased to 27,67,273 in the country, of which 6,76,514 people are undergoing treatment and 20,37,870 people have recovered from the disease after treatment. Foreign citizens are also involved in total cases of infection. The recovery rate of patients has increased to 73.64 percent.
More than eight lakh samples were tested in the last 24 hours, till August 18, a total of 3,17,42,782 samples were tested across the country, of which in one day on Monday 8,01,518 samples were examined.
