(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist)Strong earthquake tremors have been felt in Alaska, USA. The magnitude of the earthquake on the Richter scale has been measured at 7.8 but no damage has been reported so far. A tsunami warning has been issued in coastal areas of the earthquake in Alaska.
Tremors of this earthquake have been felt up to a distance of five hundred meters. After the tsunami warning, there has been panic in the coastal areas and people are reaching safe places. The epicenter of the quake was located at a depth of six miles from the ground, while a tsunami warning has been issued in the area 200 miles from the epicenter.
Tremors may also be felt after the earthquake for the next few weeks. The administration soon started sending people to safer places in the surrounding areas.
All people have been advised that more tremors may be felt in the coming times and that they may be more powerful than before. The administration started playing sirens to make people aware during the earthquake itself.
