Experts believe that along with applying the mask, it is also necessary to follow the rules of social distancing. How much work is done? What is the right way to apply it? Let’s know-
- N95 Mask- It is designed to be 100% safe for health workers. This causes liquid droplets and saliva of others to not enter the body. This mask protects against, bacteria, dust, and pollen particles up to 10%. Its cost is Rs. 100 to 300.
- Surgical Mask- This mask is mostly blue in color and consists of three layers. It provides protection for up to 80% against bacteria, dust, and pollen particles. It should be fitted properly and cover the mouth and nose. The cost of this mask is Rs. 5 to 10.
- Activated Carbon Mask- This mask is usually used to stop odor. It only gives 10 to 30 percent protection. It is not effective in protecting against the virus. It protects against 50-60 % of bacteria, dust, and pollen particles. Its cost is Rs 70 to 600.
- -Fabric Mask- Most of the fabric masks are of cotton. It has two layers. It can be used after washing it again. But after washing, Use it after 3 to 4 days. It protects most against bacteria, dust and pollen particles. Its costs is Rs 10 to 20.
- Sponge Mask – This mask is not effective to save from any virus. It protects only 5% against bacteria and dust. Doctors do not advise to use it.
- KN 95 – This mask is also available in markets. Shopkeepers call it an alternative to N95 but it is not. It is not safe like that.
