Tedros reconvened WHO’s expert committee on Friday to consider what further recommendation are are needed to stem the spread.”Most of the world’s remain susceptible to the virus, even in areas that have experienced severe ,” Tedros said,”Although vaccine development is happening at record speed, we must learn to live with the virus and we must fight it with the tools we have”.
Mexico of Latin American recorded 688 fatalities which brought its death toll to 46,688, with 424,637 confirmed cases and the UK has recorded 46,204 deaths and 304,793 cases. Mexican officials said that the pandemic is likely to be far more extensive than officials figures reflect.
In Brazil, more than 91,000 people have died, and the death toll in the worst-hit US has topped 152,000. The increasing death toll has made Latin American as epicenters of the coronavirus. Cases in the region have increased twice in the past month to more than 4.7 million infections.
