(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); China once again failed in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in its attempt to raise the Kashmir issue. China was also troubled by Pakistan on this issue. All the countries involved in the closed-door informal meeting called it a bilateral issue. These countries made their stand clear about Kashmir. At the same time, the council said that this issue is not something that needs time and attention.
China is a country supporting Pakistan at every step. China appealed to discuss the Jammu and Kashmir issue in the Security Council. The special status was abolished by Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August 2019 by India which was the anniversary on Wednesday with special status, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were divided into two union territories. After which Pakistan is constantly trying to gain international support against India for withdrawing the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and dividing it into two union territories.
India has clearly told the international community that Article 370 was an internal matter of India. Advised Pakistan to accept reality and stop all anti-India propaganda. According to sources, the US, Germany, France, and Russia in an informal meeting on Wednesday strongly defended India and opposed the matter being discussed in the UNSC.
