However, the number of victims is a little less than on Thursday. According to the health department bulletin, 2,912 people have been newly infected in the state in the last 24 hours.
Where on Thursday this number was 2,954. The total number of corona cases in the state is 69,006 at the moment. The death toll has dropped slightly. 57 people died on Thursday. On this day that number has decreased to 52. As a result, the total death toll in the state is still 1,954.
In terms of the death toll, Kolkata ranks first in the state, followed by North 24 Parganas. However, the number of victims in Howrah and Hooghly has increased slightly as compared to Thursday. In those two districts, 213 and 239 people were newly infected on the day, respectively.
