He informed that the government will ban the import of 101 goods to increase defense-related manufacturing in the country. 101 The decision to ban the import of defense materials will create huge opportunities for the Indian defense industry. According to the Defense Minister, the plan to ban the import of this defense equipment will be implemented gradually in a phased manner between 2020 and 2024. According to Rajnath Singh, more defense equipment will be identified in a phased manner to ban imports.
