(Namita Pradhan, intern Journalist) USA; Since the politicians are busy over the Pandemic relief package and the schools are struggling over the school openings, the US has crossed milestone on Saturday; more than five million were affected from the infection of Coronavirus, adding a million cases in just two weeks, according to Johns Hopkins University. The other country has not reported many cases. Brazil is at second rank, with over three million cases.
On April 28th US has reported millions of cases, more than three months after the first reported case. On 10th June the country passed two million cases, on 7th July three million cases and on July 23rd four million cases. The new Coronavirus cases peaked at 75,697 on 16th July. It’s tapering off since then, to an average of seven days around 54,000 on a single day. 1,61,000 people have died after the beginning of the pandemic.
