(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): Online Open Book Examination has started today for the first time at Delhi University (DU). Following the guidelines of the High Court, this examination is being conducted for all the final year students. As soon as the exam started, different students shared their experiences along with their troubles on social media.
Some students have written clearly that due to the internet connection as well as power supply is interrupted, they are having difficulty in giving the exam. But some students say that with the submission of the answer sheet on the website, the option of email is given by the students in a better way.
Kusumlata, a professor of Hindi at Delhi University, said, “No arrangement has been made for the blind students who wanted to give the exam in Braille script. There are only more than 200 students of Hindi who are not able to give this open-book examination.
There are many teachers who are expressing their opinion about the problems of the students. For example, Rajesh Jha, a member of the Executive Council of Delhi University, said, “The student is upset because the university administration is not paying any attention to their problems and they are in the compulsion to approach the court”.
But the university administration believes that in this way the university is making all the arrangements so that the students do not have to face any problem. Vijay Laxmi Nanda, principal of Miranda House, the university’s well-known college, said, “The university and the college have built a control room at their level and any problem that the students are facing is being removed immediately.
Explain that after the court order, students have also been given the option to submit their answer sheets through e-mail and due to this, where there are problems related to internet or electricity, students are not facing difficulties.
