(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) EicherMotor has reported a total loss of Rs 55 crore during the quarter ended June 30.a year ago the automaker has posted the profit of Rs 452 crore. The revenue of the company from operations slumped 66% to Rs 818 crore in the first quarter of this crucial year, from Rs 2,382 crore a year ago. On regulatory fillings of Eicher Motors at end of market hours said its EBITDA or before the earnings interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization- which is known as the operating profits, which has been Rs 4 crore on April-June, in comparison to Rs 614 crore a year ago.
Royal Enfield has sold 58,383 motorcycles during June quarter which led to a decline of 68% in comparison to 1,81,996 motorcycles a year ago, said by Eicher Motor in a press release.
The shares of the Eicher Motor ended to 2% low at Rs 21,671 per piece on the BSE ahead of the announcement earings, underperforming the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex index, ended by a flat note.
