Venkaiah Naidu, the Vice President has emphasized on the research of IITs and other higher education institutes should be relevant to the societies and should focus on the solution of various problems which are faced by the humans due to climate change to health issues.
During the inauguration of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the IIT Delhi through video conference, he told the Institution of India will be counted as the world’s best only when it starts to impact on the society through developing optimal and sustainable solutions of the national problems.

He also put emphasis on the research to focus on making lives comfortable, by fasting the program and ensuring an equitable World order. Calling the IITians to find the solution. He asked them to focus on the problems of the Agricultural sector and the production of food rich in nutrition and protein.
He also expresses the New Education Policy to promote it as a global study destination. It was observed as only 8 institutions of India was figured globally, and encouraged the Indian institution to find a solution to the problems it also congratulates IIT for making job provider rather than a job seeker
