(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): A Bangladeshi woman smuggled into India was rescued by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel from the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. An official said on Tuesday that a man was also arrested along with the woman who had allegedly brought him to India illegally. He said that on the basis of intelligence, BSF personnel from the border post-Bhithari rescued the woman around noon on Monday.
The woman hails from the Gayaband district of Bangladesh. The BSF officer said that the arrested person has been identified as Tariyal Ghazi, a resident of Dharkhanda village under the Swaroopnagar police station area of North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal.
