Saloni Subha (Intern Journalist ) India’s daily testing for covid-19 has decreased sharply to 600,000 on Sunday, the lowest in two weeks. The union health ministry said that the gap between Covid-19 recoveries more than three times the active cases.
On Sunday 609,917 tests were conducted around 200,000 lesser than the previous day test count of 801,147. On average, the country has conducted 850,000 tests per day over the past week. Last Friday India had achieved a milestone when it had conducted 850,000 tests per day.
During weekends the number of swab samples that arrive for testing is usually lower, but the rising average daily test in the past three weeks is a pointer towards the progress being made in aggressive testing of the Covid-19 mechanism across the country said Indian Council of Medical Research ( ICMR ).
