Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): After the deterioration of relations with the US, China is now the only recourse left for Pakistan, which can help it in other areas including the economy. This has become a certainty especially in the circumstances that followed the Covid-19 epidemic.

Pakistan’s defense affairs analyst and South Asia expert Ayesha Siddiqua said this in an interview with The News International. Siddiqua said, “In the rapidly changing equation of the world, America, India, and Saudi Arabia have come together, while Pakistan has moved away from America to China, Russia, and Iran.” In recent months, there has been a drastic change in relations between the US and Pakistan.

Pakistan played an important role in the agreement between the US and the Taliban, but now no one can say that Pakistan will get financial help from the US. The defense analyst said, “When Pakistan’s foreign policy is debated, we fall silent on the issue of supporting the Taliban and giving shelter to Osama bin Laden.” This is the reason why Pakistan’s relations with America continued to decline.

We could not demonstrate our potential. Another reason for the deterioration of relations with the US is that Pakistan has not been able to take effective action against the terrorist organizations that are flourishing on their land. The strings of these organizations were found to be linked to terrorist groups spread across the world. As a result, Pakistan’s image at the international level deteriorated. Ayesha said, Pakistan and Iran will also benefit from the growing relations of China, there is doubt about this. Despite being neighbors, Pakistan and Iran are far from each other on some issues. He expressed hope that if Pakistan improves relations with its neighbors – India, Iran, and Afghanistan, then its situation may change in a few years.
