(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) Delhi; Mankush Mandaviya, the central ministry of shipping on Thursday has launched a dispute redressal mechanism to facilitate the dispute of the marine sector and also look after the timely resolution for the maritime sector.


SAROD Ports (Society for Affordable Redressal of Disputes- Ports) it is the mechanism to look after all the disputes and the shipping sector in the ports, it is launched by the ministers in a virtual ceremony.


It is held for delivering justice in the sector regarding disputes. It will resolve it a manner of justice and fair which will save a huge amount of time and legal expenditure.

It has been established under the act of Societies Registration act, 1860 for an affordable and timely resolution of the disputes.
SAROD Ports include members as Indian Ports Association (IPA) and Indian Private Ports and Terminal Associations (PTA).
