(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) The country witnessed a spurt in cases of corona infection for the third consecutive day. This is the third day when more than 95 thousand new cases have been reported in one day.
On Saturday, 97,570 new cases were reported. With these new cases, the number of Covid-19 patients in the country has increased to more than 46 lakh 59 thousand. But, the matter of relief is that the number of people recovering from the disease has also increased. According to the data, more than 36 lakh 24 thousand people have been cured so far.
The death toll has risen to 77,472 with 1,201 people killed in the last 24 hours. Cases of infection have increased to 46,59,985 in the country, of which 9,58,316 people are undergoing treatment, and 36,24,197 have recovered from the disease after treatment. Foreign citizens are also involved in total cases of infection.
According to the Health Ministry data, the recovery rate of patients has increased to 77.77 percent, while the death rate has come down to 1.66 percent. At the same time, 20.56 percent of patients are undergoing treatment. The corona mortality in the country is lower than the global average.
