(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: Preparations have started for the Panchayat elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh. The State Election Commission released a detailed program in this regard on Tuesday. According to this program released by the State Election Commissioner Manoj Kumar, from October 1, booth level officials will go door to door to check the voter list. The voter list revision campaign will start for about three and a half months.

Voters can also be made through an online application. Under this campaign, the youths who have completed the age of 18 years after the last Panchayat election i.e. from 2015 till January 1st, 2021, will be listed as new voters in the panchayat election voter list. Simultaneously, the names of the dead, transferred and duplicate voters will also be removed during this period. Additional Election Commissioner Ved Prakash Verma said that from September 15 to 30, it will be investigated that which part of the Gram Panchayat has joined the other Gram Panchayat our urban body.
