(Priyanka Gupta, Intern Journalist)Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday sent nearly 87 lakh poor people of the state a three-month pension to their account. Dull faces blossomed after receiving a three-month pension amid Coronavirus infection. This includes old age, destitute women, and beneficiaries of PwDs. During this time, CM Yogi interacted with pension beneficiaries and also talked about their problems.

CM Yogi sent a monthly installment of Rs.1311.05 crore online to the account of 86,95,027 beneficiaries in Lok Bhavan. 49.87 lakh of old age pension and 10.67 lakh beneficiaries of PwD was given a pension of three months July, August, and September. 1500–1500 rupees were sent to the account of each beneficiary. The women welfare department also sent pension of Rs 1500-1500 to the destitute women for the months of July, August, and September. There are also 26.06 lakh beneficiaries of destitute women pension.

Addressing the beneficiaries in the distribution program of social pension schemes through video conferencing, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the pension for the month of July, August, September is being sent to the account of all these beneficiaries simultaneously. Our government has combined the Nar Seva with Narayan Seva. If we support even a little bit of a destitute or a disabled person, it is a very pious work. He said that it should be our endeavor that the benefits of each government scheme should reach all the citizens.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that all of us should express our gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, due to which today, every beneficiary is receiving funds directly in the account and a large number of beneficiaries are benefiting from the schemes of governance. He instructed the officers that if any beneficiary has been deprived of the schemes of the government, then mark them and extend the benefits to them. If this work is done, then it will not take long for us to reach the last person in the society. Our effort should be to make people move towards economic independence. There are several schemes of governance especially for the destitute women and the disabled.
