(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: In Hinduism, Vishwakarma Jayanti, dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect of the universe, was celebrated in a completely different manner in the iconic Mahakaleshwar temple in Daliganj.
The Mankameshwar women sewing center for women empowerment was inaugurated under the leadership of Mahant Devya Giri of the Math Temple there. On this occasion, a special Aarti worship of dawn was also done in the temple premises. Mahant Devya Giri said that Vishwakarma is worship as the god of creation.
In the Rig Ved, XI verses are written in the name of Vishwakarma sukt. She told that such inspiring Lord Vishwakarma has this message to the world that Karma is the basis of life. Satvik Karm forms the basis of development along with creation. She said that in such as sewing center for women empowerment has been started on such a holy day, with the help of 12 Sewing Machines, more than a dozen women will be taught Sewing skills in a different session while making them self sufficient.
It will also make the family, the smallest unit of society financially strong. In this big campaign, soon women will also be taught the skills of purchasing raw materials and selling finished goods. Women of any age can get the benefit of this scheme. Sewing Centre instructor Upma Pandey told that among the women who have been registered to learn sewing in the inaugural session of Mankameshwar Sewing training centre, Sunita Chauhan, Medha, Ritika, Tulsi, Komal, Nisha, Renu, Malti, Sonali, Vidhi and others are included. On this occasion, Sevadars decorated the Temple premises and women performed bhajan kirtan.
