(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); After launching Android 11 and Android 11 (Go Edition) for smartphones, the search engine company Google has now also launched Android 11 for Android TV. In addition to the new features, the new Android version introduced for large-screen devices is also offering better performance and privacy. Developers will now get the updated tools and will also be given the option to enable several new features announced during the #11WeeksOfAndroid sessions.

In the new Android 11 for Smart TV, users will also get privacy features like core Android update benefits such as better memory management and one-time permissions. Talking about the rest of the features, auto low-latency mode and low-latency media decoding have also been supported. Apart from this, a new tuner framework will now be provided with updated media CAS support and HAL implementation extension of HDMI CEC.

Especially for developers, Google is now testing on SmartTV and for this, test harness mode has also been added to AndroidTV. Apart from this, Play Store has also been supported in Android TV Emulator. Google says that Android 11 will be rolled out for new features in the coming days from all the companies making smart TVs.
