(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Vijayawada: For the third day in a row, the domestic stock markets opened briskly. At present, the Sensex is up 233 points at 38,215. The Nifty is up 68 points at 11,295. It is learned that the domestic stock markets jumped on Friday after checking for six consecutive days of losses. The Sensex rose to 38,234 as investors showed interest in buying again. Along the way, the Nifty touched an intraday high of 11,304.
Auto thrust
Auto, IT, metal, pharma, and realty were the main gainers on the NSE, gaining between 1.3-0.5 percent. Among the Nifty giants, Hero Moto, TCS, SBI Life, Hindalco, Ultratech, Shree Cement, Asian Paints, Eicher, Tata Steel, and Maruti rose 3.4-1.4 percent. However, IndusInd, PowerGrid, Airtel, ONGC, ICICI, ITC, GAIL, and Bajaj Finance lost between 1.5-0.5 percent.

Among derivatives, Adani Enter, Tata Chemicals, SRF, Naukari, Ambuja Cement, Bata India, and Godrej CP jumped between 3.5-2.3 percent. On the other hand, Idea, IB Housing, PVR, PNB, Canara Bank, and G fell between 2.4-1.3 percent. Mid- and small-caps rose 1 percent on the BSE. Of the shares traded so far, 1,035 gained while only 527 moved with losses.
