(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist): The central government released the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on Monday to open the school. Accordingly, there will be no assessment of children for two-three weeks. Students’ mental health and emotional safety will also have to be taken care of. The emergency care team will have to be created on the campus. Children will be called to school only with the consent of parents.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has given an exemption to states that they can open schools in view of their circumstances and with the consent of parents. No child will be called forcibly.
