(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) New Delhi: Coronavirus is spreading across the country. Already the number of Covid-19 cases in the country has crossed 68 lakhs. In the last 24 hours, 78,524 positive cases were reported. This brings the total number of positive cases to 68,35,656. The Central Medical Health Department on Thursday released the Health Bulletin that 971 people across the country died due to corona in a single day.
In the past 24 hours, 83,011 people in the country have recovered from COVID and have been discharged from various hospitals. So far the total number of those discharged from the corona has reached 58,27,704. So far 9,02,425 corona cases are active in the country.
The total number of deaths due to corona so far is 1,05,526. The recovery rate of corona patients in the country is 85.25 percent. Active cases accounted for 13.20 percent of the total corona cases registered. The death rate has dropped to 1.54 percent of the total registered cases in the country. A total of 11,94,321 coronavirus diagnostic tests were performed across the country in the past 24 hours. The Union Ministry of Health has so far tested 8,34,65,975 coronaviruses in the country.
