(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Hyderabad: Prominent Kuchipudi dancer Shobha Naidu has passed away. She died at a hospital in Hyderabad. Born in 1956 in Anakapalle, Visakhapatnam district, Shobha Naidu made her debut in Kuchipudi at the age of 12.
She joined Vempati Chinsatyam as a disciple and played all the roles in Vempati dance forms. Shobha Naidu, who excelled in the roles of Satyabhama, Padmavati, and Chandalika, received the Padma Shri award in 2001.
