(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist)Vizag: It has been a bad dream to venture out of one’s home during the most recent a half year considering the pandemic danger. Those going out working or on tasks are constantly stressed whether they had contacted any surface, where the ‘imperceptible infections were sneaking.

It was this idea that spooky Pasagada Hemanjani, who had finished her Intermediate, during the beginning of the lockdown in March.

She thought of creating ‘auto sanitizer gloves’ which could sanitize articles and surfaces easily. She imparted her considerations to her dad, P.M.D. Prasad, a representative in the Signal and Telecom Department of Railways, and he contributed with his mastery.

“The inward layer of the glove is made of plastic material and the external one is made of miniature nano retentive and apportioning material,” says Ms. Hemanjani.

How it works?

“We should simply wear the gloves and pass the gloved hands on the surfaces, which should be sterilized.

The fluid sanitizer in the nanomaterial spreads on the surfaces and kills the infection and stays there for 30 minutes to 60 minutes, in this manner offering some security to resulting clients. The plastic internal layer shields our palms and hands from the sanitizer, which hurts our hands whenever utilized for long,” she expounds.

“The gloves purify all surfaces like door handles, handles, tables and seats which we need to contact when we enter an office or some other spot,” clarifies Mr. Prasad.

“They are valuable for explorers, especially train and air travelers. We have applied to the Intellectual Property Facilitation Center of the NRDC in Vizag for conceding of a patent for our item and they have recognized receipt of the equivalent on Sept. 14,” he includes.
