(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Dehradun: Environmentalists are protesting against the removal of rare trees for airport expansion. Authorities have decided to remove about 10,000 trees from the area for the expansion of Dehradun Airport in Uttarakhand.
Environmentalists are angry with the government. Sunday protested at trees near the airport. Protesters said the Thano forest was a valuable resource and that every tree here was very important. They stated that they would protect these rare trees and fight against the government’s destructive policies.
