(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a national conference against vigilance and corruption through video conferencing on the issue of Vigil India, Vigilant India.
It will be inaugurated at 4.45 pm and will be streamed live.
The Central Bureau of Investigation organizes this national conference which coincides with the “Vigilance Awareness Week” held annually from October 27 to November 2. The activities of this conference will focus on issues related to vigilance in which people are made aware and participation of citizens is confirmed in India’s resolve for dignity and integrity in public life.
In this three-day conference, the challenges of forensic investigation abroad, taking precautionary vigilance against corruption as a processual check, phased improvement in financial inclusion, and preventing fraud in banks, considering effective audit as an engine of growth. Doing, capacity building and training, multi-dimensional coordination of the agency for quicker and more effective investigation, emerging trends in economic crimes, cybercrime and criminal investigation agencies, and sharing of methods adopted for investigation and crime prevention.
