On Saturday, a gunman armed with a shotgun shot the Orthodox clergyman into the city of Leon. Greece’s citizenship pastor injured in the attack has been hospitalized for treatment. According to doctors, the pastor suffered serious injuries due to being shot from close range. The attacker is still being absconded by the police.
The French Ministry of Interior tweeted that the incident occurred in the southeastern city of Leon. Security and emergency personnel are on the scene. The Ministry has issued a warning, urging people to stay away from the place of incident. The Ministry of Interior has not yet provided information on whether the attack is related to terrorism or has been carried out in a mutual rivalry.
Three days earlier on Thursday morning, a 21-year-old Tunisian terrorist attacked Nees’ church with a knife. Three people were killed in this attack. The attacker was later shot dead by the police.
