(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Rae Bareli: The indefinite strike of the Bharatiya Kisan Union on arbitrary demands for paddy procurement, payment of cane dues, and other demands are on Wednesday. On the other hand, some improvement is also being said in the condition of the District President who became ill during the movement. Till now, there has been increasing resentment among the activists due to the non-availability of hearing by any responsible officer. The leaders of BKU have been staging a sit-in at the district headquarters since Monday.

First, they were sitting on a dharna in Vikas Bhawan. Even after this, the Collectorate reached on Tuesday. Their movement is not just for the day but for 24 hours. These bhakti leaders have spent two whole days and two nights at the doorstep of the officers of the district. The late-night cold is also suffocating in front of their enthusiasm.
Amid this movement, Union District President Santosh Kumar’s condition deteriorated. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Canal Road. Even after this, other union officials and workers are sitting on a dharna continuously. However, during this period, many administration officials came and returned to complete the negotiations. No one bothered to heal them.
There is anger among the farmer leaders about this. Dalmau tehsil president of BKU, Pramod Patel, says that ignoring farmer problems will no longer be tolerated.
