(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Mathura: Faizal, one of the 2 accused in the Namdaba temple in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, was escorted to Mathura by the Mathura Police late on Monday night. The police presented Faizal in the court of Additional Judicial Magistrate situated in Umbrella Tehsil on Tuesday evening. From where the court sent Faizal to 14 days judicial custody.
At the same time, the Faizal antigen test has also been found to be corona positive.
On 29 October, Faizal along with his companion Chand had offered namaz at Nandababa temple in Nandgaon, Barsana.
Photos of this case were stirred up after went viral on social media. After which Sevayat Kanha Goswami filed a police complaint, on which the police registered a case under Section 153A, 295, 505, and arrested Faizal from Jamia Nagar in Delhi late on Monday evening. After arrest, the police have also imposed sections 419, 420, 467, 468, and 471 on Faizal.
After arresting Faizal, the Mathura police brought him to Mathura and produced him in the court of Atriyakt Judicial Magistrate in Umbrella Tehsil on Tuesday evening.
From where the court sent him to 14 days judicial custody. The police also conducted Faizal’s corona test before presenting it in court. Faizal is positive in the antigen test. Because of this, Faizal was kept in an ambulance outside the court and the magistrate came out of the court and sent him on remand.
