Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): On Thursday morning, three luxury buses brought to run as contracts in the Transport Corporation, Roadways, caught fire under suspicious circumstances, in which the buses got burnt into a structure. These buses were parked outside Scania’s workshop in Banthara.
The corporation management had ordered an operator of Mumbai to operate 32 luxury buses, but later there was a dispute between the two about the profit, then the matter has reached the court.
The operator came from Mumbai to Lucknow to operate these buses, since then the buses were standing on Kanpur Road. A bus costs more than one crore rupees
Regional Manager of Lucknow Zone PK Bose said that on receipt of the incident, a team led by the traffic superintendent has been sent to investigate on the spot.
