In such a situation, online classes are being run at this time to avoid the loss of studies. In such a situation, the Punjab government has taken a big decision. The government has launched the second phase of the Punjab Smart Connect Scheme, the Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.
According to this, 80,000 students of 12th standard studying in government schools will be given smartphones. Giving information in this regard, the Punjab Chief Minister wrote on the official Twitter handle, “Under phase-two from my government, 80,000 students studying in 12th standard in government schools will be given smartphones. At the same time, 50,000 students have already been distributed in the first phase. “I am sure that with the help of these smartphones covid-19 will help the students to face the challenges of education amid the infection epidemic.”
The Chief Minister said that out of 1,75,443 students of Punjab Government Class 12, 1,30,000 students have been distributed mobiles. The remaining students will be distributed soon. On this occasion, Punjab CM also interacted with the students of class 12 of the government school Mohali School. According to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the remaining students will be distributed phones by the end of December.
The benefit of this scheme will be given only to the students residing in Punjab. It is mandatory for students to have an Aadhaar card to take advantage of the scheme. Let us know that schools have been closed since the coronavirus epidemic spread across the country in March. Though the process of opening the schools started after the unlock process, the process of opening the school was postponed once again due to increasing cases.
