According to media reports, the accident occurred when the laborers were working at a height of 250 feet. Some of these laborers died due to drowning, as the place near the mine was flooded due to heavy rain. Yu Kwa Min, the administrator of Wai Khar district, said that heavy rain is making the rescue work difficult.
