Doctors, nurses, and medical staff are more vulnerable to this virus as they are working day and night to cure copious patients all over the world. Particularly in this issue, humanoid robots are helping them in examining the patients, sanitizing hospital floors, checking the temperature, video calling doctors in case of emergencies…etc.
This particular method was firstly adopted by All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. This began initially by testing 92cm tall robots in COVID wards in April. Slowly, this method is fostered by various other Multi-speciality hospitals in New Delhi. These robots can do all the basic work like connecting the patient to the doctor, record all the activities…etc. this Robot can travel at the speed of 2.9Kmph. The robot is provided with a three-dimensional (3D) inbuilt high definition camera (HD) , via which it accomplishes all the tasks. The robot costs anything between Rs 80,000 and 12 lakh, while the Humanoid Elf comes for Rs 6.5 lakh.
