(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist) Patna: 24 people of the BJP have tested positive for COVID-19 at the party’s headquarters, on Tuesday. The number of infected people was as high as 75. The reports confirmed only 24 positive cases. The infected people did not have any symptoms yet they have quarantined themselves at home. The samples were gathered on Monday after it was discovered that a person who visited the premises recently had tested positive.
A total of 110 samples were collected. Apart from party functionaries, these included all other staff members hired for running errands. BJP spokesman Nikhil Anand confirmed these included four senior office-bearers. These were state vice-presidents Radhan Mohan Sharma and Rajesh Sharma, state general secretary Devesh Kumar and state general secretary (organization) Nagendra. The party office premises were being thoroughly sanitized.
