A huge fire has broken out in Mumbai, the financial capital of the country. The fire broke out in the city center mall in the Nagpada area of south Mumbai around 9 pm on Thursday. For a while, the whole building was on fire. As soon as the Mumbai’s City Center mall fire accident was reported, 20 fire engines arrived. Firefighters were also reportedly trying to contain the blaze Friday morning.
About 200 to 300 people were in the Maraku City Center Mall at the time of the incident. It was initially reported as a Level 1 accident. And then looking at the severity and saying that Level 3 (heavy) fire is dangerous. The fire was reported as a Level 5 incident Friday morning as the fires were not under control. Those in the city center mall were brought out safely. People from surrounding buildings were also reportedly evacuated to a safer area.
Some firefighters were reported to have sustained burn injuries while trying to contain the blaze. They were rushed to JJ Hospital for treatment. The fire was not brought under control until Friday (October 23) morning. The causes of the accident need to be known. Meanwhile, two fires broke out in Mumbai on the same day. Earlier on Thursday, a fire broke out at a garment factory in the Kurla West area. Firefighters worked for two hours to contain the blaze.
